Mornington Cup Feb, Wednesday 16th

Hello my fashionistas, sorry for the delay in my blog, I hope you don't all think you are having too much of a break after new year it is straight back into it!! I love it that there is FOTF all the way through the year. Remember just because this is not Flemmington, that you don't have to put your best outfit on. These smaller events generally bring out the religious fashion goers. Good luck to all and don't forget to refer to lbd for fashion tips. xoxo

Wrap up on the peninsula cup

Good Local judges, it was lovely to see farmiliar faces up there, amazing weather and I even managed to get myself a sun tan!!

The general public's fashions where a little bit distasteful and lacked originality. But for the entrants on the day their was an array of vintage opp shoppers with some amazing hats and accessories you would die for on display.
A unique all round winner from the women's young contemporary section, going for the pirate look of, "puss in boots". The out fit featured a great jacket sourced locally and amazing hat by Annette Sanfilippo

Until next time

Derby day controversey

Sophie Champion

This is who should have won, clearly the judges made a mistake!! As I will explain yesterday at derby day the judging was so ridiculous that some how TWO of the same dress ended up in the final 10 best outfits, hhmmm that's weird, but then look a bit closer and you will find one of the judges is actually wearing the same dress as well!!! That is unacceptable!

There was some absolute stunning outfits on display yesterday despite the drab conditions. Many ladies this year have been inspired from the 1950's inspired show, mad men.

Once again we also saw the strong pull of Australian designer outfits in the top ten that may or may not have deserve it......to name a couple Alex Perry, Alannha Hill and of course one of the top selling brands in Myer,CUE, come on judges on the panel I think you and I both know that was not a coincidence.
The top three on Derby day

From talking to the ladies in the crowd, the overall feelings from the judging selection was boring, uneventful and lacked originality. Lets hope the judges pick up their game for the following two big days.

Melbourne Cup November 2nd

Oaks Day November 4th

See you all there looking absolutely amazing and make sure you add a umbrella to your outfit.
